Good vs Bad Website: ESPN vs Streameast - Tyler Tarabocchia

Video Link

ESPN and StreamEast are two websites known for giving viewers the ability to watch any sporting event they want. ESPN is widely known, streaming on live TV and incorporated into a website/ app, ESPN is accessible anywhere. This safe and easy website is great to use to get news from around any sports league or even watch the games live. On the other hand, StreamEast is a website found only on a web browser. StreamEast is free, but the consequences it provides may be detrimental. With the possibility of malware and other viruses, this website is dangerous to use, but if the ads are ignored correctly, any game is accessible for free on your phone.

  1. Hey Tyler,
I love ESPN and how it can be accessed anywhere. I have been watching ESPN forever and still watch it to this day. I have never used StreamEast before and it does not sound like an app that I intend to use. ESPN seems to be a better app all around. I do not like how StreamEast could give your device a virus. Very Well Done on the Smackdown!

  2. Hi Tyler,
Both of these websites are okay in design. One of my biggest gripes with streaming websites are how paywalls are implemented-- which I find the paywall for ESPN (specifically ESPN+) pretty non-intrusive. For your concern about malware and advertising from Steameast, I think if you have your adblock on and your antivirus up to date you should have no problem.

  3. Hello, Tyler!
These are two apps that I am not familiar with. Although, I do know someone who uses ESPN. It does seem like a go for individuals with sports. I like that you can watch the game anywhere, and I think this is a great Christmas idea for anyone who uses sports apps! I think that you did an amazing job explaining a good and bad website. I think it is so important to touch upon the essential of a website4 being safe. Great points!

  4. Hello Tyler,
Cool choices for apps, I've heard of ESPN but not Stream East. Which is great because I did not know they were free. Although I am a member of ESPN Plus, I think they could be a bit more reasonable when it comes to memberships. The site itself I do prefer ESPN because you're getting quality, with no pop up or distractions. The site is very easy to navigate as well. The other big portion of this is the marketing aspects. consider the colors and layout.
